One challenge for managers and HR professionals trying to match the skills of their IT staff to the requirements of their business is to find a way to consistently define their skills. The Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) helps to address this difficulty by providing a widely accepted industry-standard model for defining IT skills.
It is a logical two-dimensional skills matrix defining 96 IT skills on one axis and levels of responsibility on the other. It is an effective resource that benefits business by facilitating all aspects of the management of IT skills and capability in real-world environments. Our newest course – Defining IT Skills, Roles and Responsibilities using the SFIA Framework – explores how SFIA relates to the practicality of IT skills and capability management in an organization. If you are an IT, Human Resources or Learning and Development professional, this course will provide the understanding of the SFIA Framework you need to implement the framework in your organization. Plus, as an accredited partner of the SFIA Foundation, this course is a pre-requisite for those wishing to apply to become a SFIA Accredited Consultant.
This 1-day live, instructor-led introduction to the SFIA Framework can be taken online from the convenience of home, office or one of our many AnyWare Learning Centers. View our upcoming North American schedule here and European dates here.
To then build on the knowledge gained from this course, we also offer an IT Skills Assessment Workshop using the SFIA Framework. Through a highly interactive workshop, this course provides a practical demonstration of how to apply the SFIA Framework to your IT organization. This 1-day instructor led course is available as a private group course we can deliver to your facility anywhere in the world or host in one of our global Education Centers.
