Tomorrow, I am teaching Learning Tree course 1210, Cloud Computing Overview: Evaluating the Opportunities. This is a half-day course running from 1:00 PM EST to around 4:00. The course provides an overview of cloud computing and some of the choices available for Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
This morning I’ve been preparing my demos. I don’t want to just talk about it, we need to play around and see it in action! I’ll be doing demos on Google Apps, Windows Live, Windows Azure, SQL Azure, Google App Engine, Amazon EC2 and maybe a couple other things if there’s time.
Of course, there will also be an opportunity for students to ask questions.
Hopefully, I’ll remember all my passwords and it will be an interesting morning for all. This class is offered pretty frequently. If you’re interested in attending it, contact Learning Tree.
After teaching this course, I’ll be attending the first run of Learning Tree course 1610, jQuery: A Comprehensive Hands-On Introduction. That should be really fun; I’ll let you know how it goes.
